Kazakhstan ranks first among top five CIS countries for winter tourism

Kazakhstan is the number one CIS country for winter tourism. Foreign tourists are most attracted by the country’s capital and Almaty city, as well as the ski resorts of the Almaty region and eastern Kazakhstan. The Burabai National Park also remains one of the beloved tourist attractions for many years. The ‘TurStat’ agency has presented a rating of the most popular travel destinations for winter holidays in the CIS. Thus, along with Kazakhstan, the top five also includes Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Armenia. The ranking of the CIS countries is based on their popularity among tourists and the development of tourism and recreation infrastructure there.
