President Tokayev participates in Presidential Youth Staff Reserve Forum

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev addressed the Presidential Youth Staff Reserve forum, highlighting that it opens up opportunities for motivated young people. He emphasized that educated and truly patriotic Kazakh citizens, those capable of critical thinking, should actively engage in public administration. The Head of State recalled that the country is currently undergoing significant reforms. On their part, talented young people should become the driving force and reliable support for these transformations. President Tokayev underlined that the reserve presently includes 400 specialists, with 280 of them, or 70 percent, appointed to responsible positions in central and local government bodies.

“You will soon come to the point where you will be making the most responsible decisions for the good of the state, leading our country across various sectors, be it in government or the quasi-public sector. And, of course, you will also be engaged in the private sector. Therefore, I have great hope in you,” Tokayev said.

The Head of State noted that the selection process for the Presidential Youth Staff Reserve will soon commence. According to him, it is crucial to engage scientists, experts, and active citizens, especially volunteers, in public service. Additionally, he called for optimizing the system using IT solutions and emphasized the importance of efficiently utilizing artificial intelligence and Big Data technology.

“A public service model that fully protects citizens’ interests must be developed in the country. It is necessary to implement new approaches to work that meet the demands of the times and society. Clear criteria should be established for evaluating the performance of public servants,” Tokayev added.
