President Tokayev receives Ulytau region governor

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Ulytau region governor Berik Abdygaliuly, who reported on the socio-economic development of the region. This year, it is planned to launch at least 16 projects, with half of them in the fields of industry and geology, and the rest in tourism, trade, and agro-industrial complex. Abdygaliuly also highlighted plans for the construction of a poultry farm, a meat processing complex, and the launch of several farms this year. Additionally, he touched upon the issues regarding the heating season and heat supply in the region, while also discussing the results of last year. Notably, in 2023, three large projects worth 10 billion tenge were implemented in the region. Furthermore, investments in fixed capital increased by 14 percent, totaling over 210 billion tenge.

“The construction of the Zhеzkazgan-Kyzylorda road will commence this year. President Tokayev issued many instructions during his visit, and they are currently under control. Overall, we continue efforts to attract investments, with the anticipation of creating over 700 jobs. Plans also include the construction of social infrastructure, including 10 sports facilities and six schools under the Comfortable School national project. The construction of one school in Zhеzkazgan city is expected to be completed this year,” Abdygaliuly said.
