Searching for mystery is a popular science film that tells about unique places, amazing people, iconic events and curious phenomena. Each settlement of Kazakhstan, starting from the smallest villages and ending with huge cities, keeps many documents, artifacts and other evidences that reveal little-known details about things we seem to learn well from school history textbooks.Daniel Besedin from Australia, the host of the program, travels around our country with the crew of the project and meets with archaeologists, historians, ethnographers, anthropologists, custodians and travelers. Grain by grain, he composes wondrous pictures from facts, legends and eyewitness accounts about special places, events or people in order to tell the “non-formal” history of Kazakhstan to our viewers. Each episode is dedicated to a specific topic. Viewers will not only learn about the amazing events in the history of our country, but also discover the authenticity of the culture of Kazakh people, as well as the peculiarities of our ancestors' worldview. The popular science show Searching for mystery will share with the audience the most unexpected origins of familiar things and tell about places where one can heal not only the body, but the soul as well.
